Neptune Nanotechnologies Inc. Q3/2022 Investor Updates
Dear Investors,
The third quarter of 2022 have been extremely eventful for Neptune Nanotechnologies as we have made a lot of progress on a number of fronts!
First of all, Neptune has been selected as one of only four Ontario companies to receive the prestigious Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) seed grant in 2022. SDTC funded companies are often cited as best-in-class and are in the forefront of innovation in their sector. Neptune was also the recipient of the NCFDC thriveFORWARD grant as well as the IAC intellectual property grant in Q3 of 2022. Neptune has also joined one of the top accelerators in Canada, Waterloo’s Accelerator Center through their prestigious AC: Studio program.
On the innovation and technology front, Neptune has developed a novel method of synthesizing chitin nanocrystals that combines both the high yield and scalability benefits from earlier generation technologies and ultra-high crystallinity through a new and novel nano-seed recrystallization process. This method has been filed as a patent in the US in August of 2022.
On the facility construction front, I’m happy to report that Neptune has completed the construction phase of our state-of-the-art research facility located in Markham Ontario with full regulatory compliance. The development and testing lab section of the facility is fully operational, while the scaling and pilot facilities are moving ahead on schedule to the equipment installation and calibration phase and is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year.
Last but certainly not the least, I would like to personally welcome Dr. Sara Koul and Ms. Amy Zhou to join our team! Dr. Sara Koul is a talented scientist with over a decade of experience in polymer technology development and commercialization. She has held progressively more senior technical roles at fortune 500 companies including GE and Dow Chemicals. She has joined Neptune as Sr. Research Scientist. Ms. Amy Zhou is a top graduate from McGill University’s prestigious Chemical Engineering Program. She has joined our chemical process engineering team.
As a final note, I will be featured as a guest speaker on the Waterloo Grit Podcast on November 29th. Talking to the host, Accelerator Centre CEO, Jay Krishnan, and his audience about the latest advancements in bio-nanotechnologies. I will also be speaking at the Florida Venture Summit in Miami on December 6th and 7th.
Thank you all for the continued support!
